Rocky Beach

Painted right on the rocks at Laguna. 

"Rocky Beach" is a plein air study painted on-site at Laguna Beach, California — the kind of painting that only happens when you schlep your kit outside and sit with it. The surf was coming in hard, the light was moving fast, and the sand was nowhere to be found. You can see all of that in the brushwork.
