She's not looking at you. She doesn't need to. Oversized shades, yellow headscarf, sun on her shoulders — this is a woman who exists entirely on her own terms. The palette runs warm and dry, ochres and raw siennas pulled across canvas in loose, confident strokes, set against a background of flattened geometric color that feels more feeling than place.
